The Senior Manager of Lean Projects will support the Senior Manager of Operations by managing the day-to-day activities within the America's region and leading a team. Working within the global operational excellence lean team, you will support lean strategy across Donaldson globally. In this position you will lead the regional team implementing Lean strategies at multiple plants within the America's region, partner with plant managers to deliver training, create a strong lean culture and set-up a lean structure within the respective plants. TheSenior Manager of Lean Projects will be responsible for facilitating and delivering significant sized complex business improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma techniques to achieve long-term business strategies and develop a Lean culture across the business. This role is regionally based, with global travel where necessary. Role Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day activities of the America's team, coach and support team development Collaborate with the global lean team on development of a single Donaldson Company global lean strategy Act as deputy for the Senior Manager of Operations, when needed Coordinate and support the delivery of complex business improvements using Lean (Six sigma) methodologies Plan and lead lean training workshops for multiple sites including specialist lean topics such as value stream mapping, daily management's, standard work, problem solving, material flow and 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and further advanced tools Work with the America's plant management to identify business improvement projects within the organizations and ensure these are completed to schedule, all while delivering business benefits including tangible financial savings, safety improvements, reduced business risk and/or improved customer satisfaction Be available to serve as a subject matter expert to America's operational management team in the area of lean and continuous improvement Coach operational teams across all America's sites by identifying both business and process improvement projects within the organization Work to improve current training materials and develop new training materials in line with Donaldson's global lean methodologies to keep the business at the forefront of lean strategy and deployment Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Quality, Engineering or related Lean Master or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification 7+ years of experience in manufacturing environment 3+ years of experience leading lean (Six sigma) teams Ability to travel up to 50% travel Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Fluent in English and other regional languages Key Words: Lean Six Sigma, Manufacturing, Leadership #LI-Hybrid, #LI-Remote Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
