Western Kentucky University Student Wellness Navigator in Bowling Green, Kentucky

The College of Health and Human Services is seeking applications for a full-time twelve (12) month Student Wellness Navigator. This staff position will report to the Senior Associate Dean of the College of Health and Human Services. The Student Navigator position will guide current and prospective students through each phase of their college experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are customary for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs to support the administrative operations of the College of Health and Human Services Office of the Dean.

  • Work with CHHS students to connect them to wellness activities (on campus or in BG) to meet the dimensions of wellness

  • Meet with CHHS students as needed throughout the year

  • Train and supervise peer student wellness navigators

  • Teach up to 6 credit hours (Wellness in College) per year

  • Attend CHHS staff meetings

  • Liaise with CHHS LLC (Living Learning Community) Faculty Fellow

  • Work with faculty and staff to identify students who need additional supports and/or resources

  • Assist with student recruiting and retention

  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a Health and Human Services discipline, or closely related degree

  • Some travel may be necessary

    Additional Information:

Salary: $43,888 - $45,000
