VCA Animal Hospitals Marketing and Outreach Coordinator in Denver, Colorado

Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital

We are a hybrid hospital that is composed of Specialty, Emergency and General Practice doctors and staff, serving hundreds of local veterinarians, customers and their furry loved ones. We are seeking a local, in-house Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to maximize and maintain our local and national marketing initiatives, be an integral contributor to growth of the hospital, which ensuring we are providing education and exceptional service to our clients, their pets and the doctors that refer them to us.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, project coordination or business is preferred with 2 or more years of experience in multi-location business marketing; experience in the veterinary or health related field is preferred but not required

General Job Expectations:

Marketing

  • Develop and execute business marketing plans prioritized by potential impact

  • Track and analyze marketing results and adapt marketing initiatives as needed

  • Visit individual veterinary clinics

  • Understand competitive marking environment and come up with out of the box, creative marketing strategies

  • Become an expert in all VCA marketing programs and maximize the execution of national marketing campaigns while developing and implementing applicable program or new programs on a local level

  • Continually analyze and look for best practices or potential issues that may impact the business as a whole

  • Lead marketing trials

  • Oversee, maintain current and ordering of all client and pDVM marketing materials

  • Assure optimal social media presence for the hospital by identifying and researching social media impact, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, etc.

  • Help in maintaining the best possible online and offline hospital reputation (including responding to reviews on our social media platforms)

  • Research media alternatives and opportunities; recommend media that most-effectively supports VCA programs and initiatives; negotiate best rates on behalf of the hospital

  • Maximize programs that focus on client retention and satisfaction

  • Assure website is up-to-date with local content that is relevant, interesting and informative

  • Set metrics and report on marketing activities

  • Maintain email blasts/constant contact

  • Work with our local and national marking liaisons

Financial Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Special Projects Supervisor, Hospital Director and General Practice Manager to develop yearly marketing plans and budget

  • Meet monthly with hospital leadership team to review marketing efforts, goals and spending

  • Recommend process improvements with potential cost savings

Community Outreach

  • Organize, participate and recruit participation for planned outreach and fundraising events and programs

  • Organize, support, participate and recruit participation in fundraising events (e.g. Furry Surry, Jodi’s Race, Safe harbor Lab Rescue Fest, etc.)

  • Assure our social media (Facebook, Instagram) are up to date with informative, interesting and educational material

  • Explore and implement other creative outreach programs or events that are not currently being utilized and recruit staff and doctor participation

Referring DVM and outside technician Outreach

  • Organize, support, participate and recruit doctor participation in quarterly CE events (Doctor and Technician), Annual Symposium and Lunch and Learns

  • Understand and maintain constant contact

  • Organized and participate in referral hospital visits

  • Communicate with pDVMs on a regular basis via phone or email to ensure we are providing the best service to them and their clientele

Continuing Education Programs

  • Organize, recruit Specialist participation in quarterly CE events (Doctor and Technician), Annual Symposium and Lunch and Learns.

  • Organized and ensure hospital publications are sent out to our referral community in a consistent and structured timeline

  • Establish other creative continuing education programs or events, to support both our Veterinary referral community but also our client community

Hours: part time to start, 3 days/week & flexibility to attend community events

Pay: $20-24/hour based on experience
