EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Facilities & Fleet Manager to work full time for its Administration Department.

The Facilities & Fleet Manager position is an non- exempt position paying $32.72 per hour . The work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with flexibility to work from home. The office is located in Garden City, NY. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

    Primary Purpose of Job:

    We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Facilities & Fleet Manager to join our team. This role is the first of its kind at our company and presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact. The Facilities & Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, including hands-on light maintenance tasks, and coordinating and resolving complicated facility issues with the appropriate contractor, vendor, or building management and managing EAC Network’s vehicle fleet. This role will require travel between 30-35 locations in NYC and on Long Island.

    Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on light maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, HVAC system checks, minor electrical repairs, plumbing maintenance, and general facility repairs.

  • Work with site supervisors to diagnose issues. Act as a liaison between Division/Senior Directors, Chief Operating Officer, and third-party personnel.

  • Research potential vendors; solicit competitive bids if necessary.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all facility-related issues, promptly addressing maintenance requests and resolving issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our facilities.

  • Coordinate with external vendors, building management, and contractors for larger facility repairs and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and functionality.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure vehicles meet operating and safety standards.

  • Ensure timely renewal of vehicle registrations.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and facility and vehicle inspections.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support initiatives and ensure facility and fleet needs are met.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in facility and fleet management, including hands-on maintenance, coordination of facility repairs and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Experience with owned real estate as well as leased office space.

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair basic facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with employees, vendors, and contractors at all levels.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying equipment and supplies.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to make decisions and think critically.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
