Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our clients team in Grapevine, Texas. This role will involve overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for executing month-end close for corporate financials, maintaining corporate intercompany accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end close for corporate financials including consolidating and eliminating entries.

• Review financials for variances from the previous month and work to fix or document changes.

• Maintain corporate intercompany accounts and collaborate with staff to record acquisitions, dispositions, and placing assets into service.

• Review Staff’s financial statements for SPEs with CFO.

• Prepare reports for Accounting/Finance roundtable to discuss month over month changes in projects.

• Act as the day-to-day administrator of our ERP system – setting up new vendors, setting up reports, etc.

• Maintain audit work papers throughout the year and help lead on audit / tax items during busy season.

• Maintain treasury functions for corporate accounts alongside CFO and COO.

• Review AP selections on a weekly basis with the accounting team.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Demonstrable experience with general ledger operations and journal entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proven capacity to manage month-end close procedures

• Prior experience with Oracle software

• Knowledge and understanding of corporate real estate

• Ability to manage multiple sets of books

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Experience in a senior accounting role is preferred

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
