Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor management.

• Supervise the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department, including task assignment, performance management, and training of staff.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, in compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Perform month-end and year-end processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Prepare and file annual 1099 forms for vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, resolving payment discrepancies and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.

• Implement and maintain effective controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimize risk of fraud or errors.

• Monitor and analyze Accounts Payable metrics and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Procurement, to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Accounts Payable management, and incorporate new technologies or methodologies as appropriate.

• Provide leadership and guidance to Accounts Payable staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (equivalent years of education and work experience may be considered).

• 5-7 years of progressive experience managing and overseeing the Accounts Payable function for a mid- to large-size organization.

• Proven ability to manage full cycle Accounts Payable operations, including supervision of staff and adherence to deadlines.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, with experience in month-end and year-end close processes.

• Experience with 1099 reporting and compliance preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, staff, and management.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Perceptive experience preferred but not required.
