DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

The Air Force Account Manager is responsible for developing and fostering new and existing relationships with key Air Force clients. Includes identification, qualification, and pursuit of opportunities to expand KBR's portfolio within the Department of the Air Force that leverage capabilities and connections both internally and across industry to win new work. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with key Air Force customers to include Air Force Material Command, Space Command, and Air Force Civil Engineer Command, and others as required.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of specific Air Force operational scenarios and systems and future changes to the Air Force.

  • Advance client relationships and research and analyze business opportunities, consistent with the organization's long range and strategic plans.

  • Grow and qualify the opportunity pipeline, to include existing as well as adjacent Air Force customers and opportunities, through diligent and timely identification/qualification of new business opportunities by leveraging current technologies, customer relationships, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Identify potential opportunities based upon corporate goals and objectives; technical offerings; corporate experience; familiarity with customer and known contacts; and market competitors.

  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts and relationships, typically at Captain or flag officer level.

  • Participate in routine business development growth planning and strategy development with KBR Leadership.

  • Contribute to proposal responses: develop storyboards; collaborate with solution architects to develop win strategies and solutions that address customer pain points.

  • Create and implement Air Force account plans to ensure that short and long-term revenue goals are met.

  • Leads strategic Air Force capture opportunities.

  • Develop and manage Air Force customer profiles, including customer needs, issues, hopes, and biases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a United States Citizen

  • Recent and relevant experience with direct interface with Air Force senior leaders

  • Strong understanding of DOD market with relevant organizational relationships

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly explain detailed strategies to a wide range of decision makers including technical, business, and military audiences.

  • Proven ability to establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.

  • Proven history of capturing large, complex pursuits.

  • Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous senior level Air Force Experience, preferably with NAVFAC, Air Force Contracting Command, and /or Air Force Sustainment Command.

  • Business Development and/or sales experience with a demonstrated record of success

  • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

  • B.A. or B.S Degree
