Lilly Associate Director-Finance in Indianapolis, Indiana

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our financial team as an Associated Director of Finance to play an integral role in supporting the financial operations and strategic decision making within the organization. This role involves a blend of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and collaboration with various functions to ensure financial objectives are in line with organizational goals. In addition, this position will be responsible for expense and/or capital controllership and implementing financial tools and operational improvements.

  • Influence leadership, interpret performance drivers and present complex financial information using advanced analytics techniques

  • Provide financial leadership to enable business to achieve strategic and operational goals

  • Understand and communicate opportunities and risks through data driven analysis, advising and influencing financial improvements

  • Provide accurate, insightful, and timely analysis to leadership team regarding financial results and primary drivers of business performance to uncover key drivers and influence business performance

  • Coordinate processes for forecasts and business plan

  • Spearhead and implement best practices and process improvements initiatives, applying advanced data analytic tools to streamline operations and enhance operational performance

  • Serve as the subject matter expert to the business on financial policy, internal controls, and certain accounting matters

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or related business field and 5 years of experience in Finance or related role OR

  • MBA and 3 years of experience in Finance or related role

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for employment positions.

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve issues

  • Ability to challenge and influence all levels of the organization

  • Considerable skill in working cross-functionally with focus on customer service

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), especially advanced Excel and modeling skills

  • Time management, effective prioritization, and personal efficiency in managing volume and diversity of responsibilities

  • CPA (or equivalent accounting experience)

  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization tools
