To that end, we are committed to advancing accessibility and belonging, as well as inclusion, diversity, and equity in all aspects of our workspace, and to enriching our company with our distinct life experiences.Position OverviewReporting to the Lead Financial Analyst under guidance from the Senior Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in all phases of the financial and accounting cycle including the production of various financial reports, building financial models, performing research and analysis, assisting with close processes, forecasting, and monitoring related practices and procedures. Analyze, classify, and review accounting transactions and interrelationships.Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by Finance and Operations management.Provide support to Finance and other teams for the projection and budget process, including planning ownership of specific key drivers.Provide financial support to departments in the form of collaborating, reporting, planning, analyzing, and tracking actual expenditures.Ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, GAAP, SOX, and other applicable controls.Create process documentation for training and ongoing support and coaches others in new processes.Propose, recommend, and implement changes to improve financial and accounting processes and reports with a collaborative approach.Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in quality and continuous improvement.Education, Training, and Experience Requirements•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial analysis and accounting. MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred.•Proficiency in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and concepts.•Strong financial and analytical abilities with the ability to collect, analyze, and present results in a concise format.•Root cause analysis skills demonstrating ability to identify potential risks and opportunities as well as appropriate follow-through action.•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.•Ability to independently work with complex data sources utilizing skills in financial software and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.•Working knowledge of ERP software.•Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete work with speed and accuracy within established deadlines.•Continuous improvement mindset.APH is a drug-free workplace.
