DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Architectural Consultant, you are responsible for performing advanced consultative and professional architecture work on a state-wide level for complex multidiscipline projects as a member of the Central Office Bureau of Operations staff.

Duties include assuming a leadership role in project phases, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding and negotiation, and construction administration. You review budget estimates and expenditures, project cost breakdowns, shop drawings, and other related information that is submitted. Your duties are performed with considerable independence with occasional supervisory review.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to an office in Mechanicsburg. Please note, telework agreements are subject to change. One year as an Architectural Designer 2; or Three years of professional architectural experience in building renovation or preservation and new construction for commercial, institutional, government, or educational buildings or structures, and a bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural engineering, or a closely related field which included major course work in architectural design; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement All positions require active licensure as a registered architect by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a reciprocal jurisdiction; or an active certification as issued by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
