How you will help us create value together: As a Purchasing Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Purchasing Department. This team provides support by maintaining our suppliers for all production parts in accordance with safety, quality, delivery and cost requirements and to ensure continuous improvement of QDC to maximize output for our customers. This onsite position will be based at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee\'s Harbor District. The target start date for this role is Summer 2024 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2024 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year. Key Job Responsibilities Work with the performance leader to complete various projects and duties related to purchasing. Interact with internal/external customers and suppliers to respond to requests and questions. Identify, plan, and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, rework, etc. Responsible for data entry, database creation/maintenance, and data analysis as needed by the team. Support the day-to-day transactions and documentation of supply chain operations. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the business by executing purchase orders, reviewing exception messages, and expediting as needed.
