About the Team

Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses, and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues.

The Global Communications team is a nimble team within Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) that covers a broad scope of responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. The team is responsible for designing and driving communications efforts ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business and functions. Within Citi the team works with a wide range of internal partners, including senior leadership, and coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA team around the world. Additionally, members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the team across the world.

About the Role

This person will play an important role as our team’s liaison with key internal partners. You will work with senior leaders and partners across the firm on a variety of initiatives that help strengthen Citi’s reputation among key stakeholders. You will also support a range of communications efforts that proactively tell Citi’s story, with a particular lens on Finance and NAM communications.

Responsibilities :

  • Support of a range of communications needs for our Executive Management Team members including briefings, internal and external announcements, newsletters and social media.

  • Manage the distribution of internal emails as well as the upkeep of internal websites related to the team’s portfolio of work.

  • Partner with Media Services and Content teams to identify and develop new communications tactics and opportunities to drive employee awareness and two-way engagement.

  • Partner with Government Affairs colleagues to prepare executives for public appearances with policymakers.

  • Help manage relationships with Citi’s trade associations.

  • Help develop, implement and maintain communication plans prepared for a variety of enterprise-wide strategic communications including proactive and reactive/issues management scenarios.

  • Support internal reporting and audit needs.

  • In partnership with members of the broader team team, support efforts that contribute to strong processes, controls and governance amongst our team.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in communications, public relations or another related field

  • Strong project management skills, preferably with a large organization.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and comfort level interacting with senior executives.

  • Comfortable working on both analytical and creative projects with the ability to quickly transition from one to the other.

  • Highly proactive, determined and results driven.

  • Interest in and deep understanding of internal and external storytelling and ability to mine for unique stories, craft compelling narratives and place them in compelling earned, owned and internal channels.

  • A strong background in developing integrated internal communications plans that align with topline corporate messaging and external communications.

  • A team player with a track record of success delivering high-quality work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$98,960.00 - $148,440.00
