As a core part of our agency strategy, we are looking for a highly collaborative business development leader to accelerate Amazon Advertising’s strategic partnerships with one of the world's largest Holding Companies to the next level.

As US OpCo Lead, you will be a Senior, Agency Development Manager thinking big and inventing new ways of working that revolutionize how Amazon and agencies interact. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a consultative style that focuses on developing long term, customer relationships. You will be a dynamic professional, possess an analytical mind-set and be comfortable with both sales and data. In order to succeed in this role, you will have a keen intuition, be supremely knowledgeable about the advertising space and a thoughtful, confident presenter of your ideas internally and externally. Focusing on one of Amazon Advertising’s largest customer segments, you will manage this relationship at the highest level, with C-Suite, Investment Leadership and the Strategy & Planning Community driving the US strategy.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, work autonomously, be comfortable with ambiguity and highly goal-oriented in order to contribute to Amazon Advertising’s ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a customer-led strategy for long-term growth with a US agency Hold Co, including close collaboration with internal Amazon Advertising stakeholders and leadership.

  • Drive strategic HoCo and Agency wide initiatives from inception to delivery by prioritizing, analyzing, designing and deploying appropriate solutions with a focus on high customer experience, revenue growth, and increase sales productivity.

  • Craft and execute US Hold Co commercial strategy and correlating joint business plans.

  • Own top down relationships with US Hold Co and affiliated Op Cos, while maintaining and evolving the business across the agency portfolio which drive adoption of Amazon Advertising’s tools and products.

  • Create and manage a detailed engagement strategy to C-levels, deliver periodic business reviews to key agency stakeholders, especially the Strategy & Planning teams, and illuminate new business opportunities across accounts, including a tailored list of high-potential growth advertisers.

  • Formulate and lead US partnership initiatives across the respective agency portfolio.

  • Lead education and enablement of key agency functions including delivery of training, roadshows, summits and other agency-wide events.

  • Serve as change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization. Be able to execute multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborate with agency decision-makers and Amazon partner teams to drive development of specific advertiser accounts.

  • Elevate culture of innovation and continuous improvement through best practice sharing, vocal advocacy and visible hands-on leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B sales experience

  • Experience managing internal and external relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in agency development or business development at a major media company and/or 'media agency side' experience

  • Domain expertise in digital advertising with a focus on video, audio and programmatic capabilities

  • Established relationships at, and deep understanding of, ‘Big 6’ Holding Companies.

  • Ability to earn trust with a broad range of constituents and work seamlessly with several levels of a complex organization driving towards specific objectives.

  • Proven track record of delivering results and driving aggressive revenue growth

  • Excellent presentation skills to both small or large groups of customers

  • A self-starter who takes initiative and is action oriented

  • Able to work in a diverse team

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
