Pall Corporation Senior/Lead Technical Inside Sales Engineer in Port Washington, New York

Senior/Lead Technical Inside Sales Engineer for Pall Corporation in Port Washington, NY as a key member of the Technical Inside Sales Applications team and main applications engineer for the Oil and Gas market for North America, coordinate projects and assignments for the commercial team. Build technical and commercial proposals with value propositions for Filtration Equipment. Answer Technical and Commercial clarifications raised by clients from the proposed filter equipment. Ensure competitive product knowledge within market advantage applications and coordinate with competitive product Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support value proposition discussions with the customer. Develop the process description, scope description, technical exceptions, and clarifications to bid documents, and technical drawing package for formal proposal to the customer. Review and interpret customers’ technical specifications and support discussions around the development of those documents with the customer. Using that information, perform appropriate calculations to develop a process design that will meet customer requirements. Select equipment that supports the process design, develop a project execution plan, schedule, material and labor cost estimates. Support the sales team by reviewing customers’ operations/facility, reviewing customer designs, explaining the proposed process and equipment, supporting value proposition discussions, and reviewing the project in detail with the multidisciplinary design teams. Ensure clean project handoff to operations and provides technical support / context during project execution. Provide technical support / context to service team during system installation, assist with equipment warranty claims and stay abreast of technology in key applications areas. Provide Technical direction and supporting documentation to our sales force to resolve customer needs. Communicate with customers to diagnose technical solutions and ensure understanding of Pall’s value propositions in support of business development for future opportunities. Work with SME’s, Application Development, Business Development and R&D to find solutions to more complex problems and application requirements. Support Oil & Gas Market Campaigns including contributions to white paper development, webinars, and tradeshow involvement. Assist with pilot test plans and demonstrations. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience in filtration, technical inside sales/applications engineering. Experience must include: performing sizing and process calculations utilizing sizing tools and specific software applications; selecting proper type of filtration media and designing customized filtration equipment based on client data sheets and specifications; developing and utilizing quotation templates for advantage applications product positions; developing, enhancing, and utilizing product selection and budgetary pricing tools; developing project execution plans, schedules, materials, and labor cost estimates; and reviewing and revising customer standard design procedures. Approximately 40% national travel required. Telecommuting position - must reside within Gulf region. Salary Range: $100,000 - $132,000. Salary Offered: $110,864.
