As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Job Summary

The Warranty Manager, will be responsible for the execution of installation activities related to discipline in charge, which are to be compliant with safety, time schedule and satisfactory quality. Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labor, tools and materials as required to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee site installation activities and ensuring quality compliance from project mobilization through customer acceptance of last unit

  • Prepare assignment with Site Manager and Project Organization before site mobilization (review technical contract requirement, review civil- mechanical- electrical interfaces, major equipment installation / constructability, develop installation schedule, review if material site deliveries matches with schedule or propose changes / work around plan, review logistic & site storage plan, identify Customer interfaces, evaluate construction requirement (tools, man-loading), review installation methods & techniques with Installation Managers of different disciplines, share Lessons Learned & best practices)

  • Implement, monitor, and track the related Installation site procedures

  • Plan, organize, integrate, and direct labor and tool and material allocation

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the subcontractors which are to be compliant with the time schedule and within the respective budget and satisfactory quality, applying Construction and Commissioning tools and processes

  • Manage all issues affecting the scope of the project and interfaces with other projects

  • Ensure implementation within the project’s scope of work, EHS policy, and site specific EHS plans, including providing co-workers with information about hazards, risks and risk mitigation measures applicable to the site

  • Work with site material coordinator to ensure all logistics follow project installation schedule.

  • Ensuring subcontractors are compliant with the EHS and Quality requirements at the site.

  • Provide technical issues resolution with GE engineering approval using GE’s reporting system tools and drive action plan at site.

  • Ensuring that all defined packages within the project are ready to accept Civil Turnover and System Turnover to Commissioning.

  • Mitigate all variances, deviations, non-conformances, extra works, non-budgeted costs as necessary to eliminate or minimize the cost impact to GE.

  • Manage, assess, supervise, support and promote the Installation and other personnel assigned to him/her

  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

  • Travel extensively (internationally and domestically)

  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent or higher qualification

  • 8+ years of experiences of Installation activities or in related industries

  • Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required

  • Proven leadership skills and project experience to effectively manage a site through a successful installation evolution is required.

  • Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.

  • Able to connect and communicate across all level of site personnel and internal colleagues/stakeholders.

  • Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English

Desired Characteristics:

  • Expert level. Able to act as a senior company rep on any site project for the unit qualified. Acts as project manager and mentor on complex projects

  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial, and customer relationship skills

  • Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience in construction, installation and/or commissioning

  • Technical knowledge on Installation operations and testing

  • Knowledge and experience practicing EHS and Quality Procedures

  • Prior project management experiences

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
