What you'll do The Retirement Manager reports to the Total Rewards Director, and is responsible for managing the retirement plans of Bassett Health System. Ensures all plans are administered in accordance with company, state and federal guidelines and regulations. Serves as subject matter expert while analyzing and administering the plans. Oversees retirement programs for various groups of employees; this may include defined contribution plans, defined benefit pension plans and nonqualified executive deferral plans. Analyzes programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancement; researches and recommends changes to Director of Total Rewards. Educates and advises employees on regulatory requirements, tax implications, and administrative considerations of retirement plans. Provides expert administration of qualified and nonqualified plans. Works with vendors to develop and maintain quarterly and annual plan performance reports and recommendations for revisions or modifications to plans based on performance. Serves as the ranking management member and subject matter expert in developing and properly preparing compliance programs under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other laws and regulations. Develops and maintains positive relationships with plan administrators, financial advisors, benefits brokers, and other service providers and vendors. Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, best practices, and legal and regulatory changes in retirement planning and administration. Directs and develops staff to full potential. Coaching and mentoring as needed All other duties as assigned What we need from you Education: 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, required Experience may be considered in lieu of education Experience: Minimum 5 years experience with retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457(b) plans, required Minimum 3 years leadership experience, preferred Skills: Analysis & Evaluation Attention to Detail Auditing Build Relationships Communication Computer Skills Interacting with People Negotiation Organizing/Categorizing records Problem Solving Training Pysical Requirements: Light Work - Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work. Occasional crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, walking Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, hearing, seeing/monitor/computer use, talking, visual acuity( color, depth, perception) Travel: Occasional Travel - the job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. Pay Range Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement. Pay Range Minimum: USD $89,585.60/Yr. Pay Range Maximum: USD $134,368.00/Yr.
