Essential Functions
Accountable for the execution of the distribution and inventory of supplies at assigned locations. Areas of responsibility may include surgical service supplies, receiving, medical equipment, linen, asset disposition and mail room. Oversees entire logistic process.
Develop and drive operational excellence strategies, processes, metrics, systems and tools to support successful planning and execution of all operational tactics including cost savings and avoidance. Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts including forecasting demand, monitoring inventory performance, and implementing inventory replenishment strategies.
Build strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders and in relevant functions within organization. Collaborate with clinical teams, hospital leadership, directors and Vice President to understand the materials needed for clinical and business processes to support product changes, product substitutions, and new product introductions while ensuring clinical acceptance is maintained.
Responsible for helping to design and implement future state supply chain processes and leading change by using innovative and creative solutions based on best practices and benchmarks. Create vision on global leading practices and analytical insights to analyze changes necessary to improve efficiencies. Lead internal supply chain stakeholders and stakeholders across the organization for change related to best practice.
Maximize operational efficiency and profitability by overseeing the facility operations, budgetary restrictions and financial goals, and managerial personnel to ensure productivity standards are met.
Lead teams and execute all operational activities required to meet annual objectives, including accountability for the department's annual, midterm, and long-term strategic plans. Cascades and communicates those strategies to the teams, initiating and managing projects while getting exceptional results.
Communicate customer issues with supply chain team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints. Drive resolution of customer issues related to equipment, quality, deliver and cost in a timely manner.
Evaluates work performances and recommend hiring, discharging, succession planning, promotions, disciplinary actions and/or suspension of personnel.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
5 years of relevant experience in managing areas in distribution, logistics, inventory, transportation, and other related fields
Experience working in an organization of size and complexity comparable to Corewell Health
PREFERRED
Master's Degree or equivalent
CRT-Supply Chain Professional, Certified (CSCP) And
CRT-Production and Inventory Management, Certified (CPIM)
CRT-Healthcare Financial Professional, Certified (CHFP) - HFMA Healthcare Financial Management Association
