*What you'll do: *

• Work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team. You will work as the liaison for all Scripps departments.
• Responsible for the management and coordination of patient care within the specialty area. This is accomplished through the implementation and integration of the nursing process, through the assignment and supervision of nursing staff in coordination and collaboration with physicians.
• Function as the clinical expert who evaluates the clinical nursing practice within the department's standard of care.
• Participate in interviews, hiring, and orientation of nursing staff.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager for staff annual performance evaluation and performance improvements.
• Participate in systemwide meetings, quality improvement process, and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team for optimal patient care delivery.

This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives up to $7,000.00.

The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

• Internal candidates
• Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
• Candidates with less than 1 year of experience as an RN

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years or more experience in nursing required.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Current CA RN License.
• American Heart Association BLS required in a clinical setting.
• ONS

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Preferred recent Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting or procedural unit.
• Prior demonstrated leadership skills in special projects or charge nurse duties highly preferred.
