Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Supervisor, Respiratory Therapy/Charge RT in San Diego, California

JOB SUMMARY:

Functions at the Advanced level of Respiratory therapy practice. Responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for children and adults. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Exhibit a comprehensive grasp of clinical situations and the ability to mobilize needed resources. Must be able to provide respiratory care to patients throughout the hospital and be proficient in respiratory practice in the NICU, PICU or Emergency care center. This position is assigned managerial responsibility of the Respiratory Care department and staff related to the coordination of the care given. Responsibilities include leading and influencing the daily operational activities of the Respiratory care department. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring team performance and outcomes relative to established goals and measurements.

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree; If no Associates Degree, a diploma from a Co-ARC accredited Respiratory Therapist Program

Respiratory Care Practitioner

Registered Respiratory Therapist

BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

Neonatal Resuscitation Prog Advanced Provider -(AAP)

Ped Adv Life Support (PALS)

Previous pediatric experience

Bilingual

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

3 years of experience

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Neonatal Pediatric Specialist, NPS

The expected hiring range for this position is $45.74 to $62.92
