Sunrun Sr. Manager Quality Engineering in San Francisco, California

Everything we do at Sunrun is driven by a determination to transform the way we power our lives. We know that starts at the individual employee level. We strive to foster an environment you can thrive in through our commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging.

The primary objectives of the Quality Department are to guarantee that the services we offer and the products we install align precisely with the intended design and function, ensuring customers will love them. To achieve this, we deploy advanced Quality Engineering methodologies such as Six Sigma for process improvement, Lean techniques for waste reduction, and Total Quality Management for comprehensive organizational excellence. Additionally, we focus on minimizing organizational spend by pinpointing and addressing inefficiencies that arise from operational errors and product defects through diligent Root Cause Analysis and the implementation of robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

At the heart of our operations, when issues emerge, our strategy is to first contain them, then diligently identify the root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Proactively, we strive to identify and mitigate potential risks, thereby enhancing the efficiency and capacity of our operations through innovative methods, tools, or materials. This proactive approach includes employing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to anticipate and address potential points of failure, and utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) to effectively monitor and manage process performance.
