What You’ll Get to Do:

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. Focus will be on COMSEC account management, and cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices. Experience in complex telecommunications applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis. Demonstrated knowledge in communications security for monitoring, operating and maintaining cryptographic devices. Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local- and wide-area network hardware, software and applications. Can install and configure WAN and LAN hardware to include cryptographic, voice, video, and data cable systems. Develops system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation. Develops risk management and mitigation strategy. Maintain compliance with QA standards as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.

More About the Role:

Focus will be on COMSEC Account Management, Custodian Duties and Encryption device configuration and maintenance.

  • Maintain multiple Secure Communication devices across the Enterprise.

  • Provide cryptographic support to Customers across the Enterprise.

  • Experience with the following encryption devices:

-General Dynamics family: KG175D, KG175F, KG175G and KG175X

-L-3 Family: KG245A and KG245X

-Viasat Family: KG250, KG250X, KG255X and KG142

-Link Encryptors: KIV-7M

  • Maintain accurate accounting records.

  • Maintain current inventory of all Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) material.

  • Coordination of system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.

  • Assist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.

  • Evaluate and monitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software.

  • Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.

  • Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all communications security configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.

  • Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network.

  • Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.

  • Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.

  • Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • DOD 8570 IAT2 level certification

  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI, eligibility to take and pass a CI polygraph.

  • Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.

  • Ability to work weekends and evening hours as needed.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations

  • Proficient is MS Office suite – Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project This section should include and preferred or desired qualifications or attributes.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • CompTIA Security + JNCIA (Juniper Networks)

  • TCP/IP Networks

  • CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP

  • ITIL v3 Foundations

  • ISC2 CISSP

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
