Sanofi Group Statistician - VIE Contract in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission:

Statistician - VIE Contract (W/M)

Target start date: 01/09/2024

Key accountabilities:

• Acts as the lead statistician at clinical trial level and provides support and leadership to the clinical trial team on all relevant statistical matters:

o Provides critical input in the choice of the clinical trial design with regards to available information and assumptions.

o Contributes to the setup of the study to make sure data are adequately captured and collected to answer the study objectives and to support the planned statistical analyses.

o Accountable for all statistical operations for the clinical trial, including:

▪ Sample size calculation,

▪ Suitability and compliance of randomization plan,

▪ Quality, compliance and delivery of statistical analysis plan & statistical reports.

o Accountable for the statistical scientific content of the clinical trial:

▪ Selects statistical methodology to support the clinical objectives.

▪ Drives risk assessment for study conclusions.

▪ Statistical interpretation of results driving study conclusion.

▪ Proposes, prepares and performs exploratory data analyses, ad-hoc analyses as relevant to inform trial objectives.

• Collaborates with statistical programmer for the preparation and production of statistical report & appendices at trial or project level.

• Accountable for management and follow-up of the activities that are outsourced to external partners (CROs).

• Links with other internal stakeholders (such as Regulatory Managers or Product Safety Officers in Pharmacovigilance for Development Safety Update Report - DSUR, Safety Management Team - SMTs).

• With supervision by a Statistical Project Leader or Bios franchise lead, participates in project activities such as development of CDP, decision-making meetings (eg CRSFs), integrated analyses and dossier preparation, submission and follow-up.

• Acts as BIOS representative in internal initiatives within GBS or CP/CS.

Key “MUST HAVE” competencies, skills & experiences

  • PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 1 year of pharmaceutical experience with an interest in applying statistics in the field of healthcare and medicine.

  • Skills: teamwork/adaptability/Problem-solving.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized, with a rational approach to problem solving.

  • A passion to learn.

  • Able to work in a team.

  • English is a must.

  • Driving license.
