Job Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Finance

Reports To: Director of Facility Accounting

FLSA Status: Exempt / Full-Time

Union Code: Non-Union

Pay Rate: $75-$80,000/annually

THE ROLE

As the Accounting Manager for The Oncenter and the Empower FCU Amphitheater, you will be responsible for the administration and management of daily activities of the accounting function at the facility.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Assist in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and ASM Global policies and procedures.

  • Supervise payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting functions and personnel.

  • Be a point of contact for payroll functions. Become trained and familiar with payroll and ADP/ABI processes and procedures.

  • Train, prepare, and perform event settlements and bank/balance sheet reconciliation.

  • Maintain monthly parking customer information and billing.

  • Supervise and assist with the preparation of all financial reporting, including:

  • Prepare financial statements for the Client and ASM Global Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget, and Annual Report.

  • Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.

  • Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.

  • Verify and check the accuracy of general ledger coding.

  • Direct and participate in cost analyses and rate studies.

  • Prepare and analyze information for financial statements and reports.

  • Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.

  • Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.

  • Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.

  • Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems.

  • Review financial statements with management personnel.

  • Direct the installation and maintenance of new accounting, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university;

  • 3-5 years of related accounting experience,

  • Or a similar combination of education and experience.

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours on occasion that may vary due to functions and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of financial and cost accounting.

  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and clients.

  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must be able to walk/stand/sit for long periods of time.

  • You may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function.
