This position has a pay rate of $56,160.00 annual wage

Provides training, support and leadership for case managers/case assistant teams that provide services for Refugee clients on an assigned caseload in accordance with all applicable contractual and regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee orientation and training of all new case managers, and other positions as needed through the first six to nine months of hire

  • Work with all programs to ensure new staff are trained, understand contractual responsibilities, client expectations, PRM, ORR and OGM policy and protocol, as well as, other community systems

  • Mentor new staff through the first six months of hire

  • Provide/coordinate job shadowing opportunities for new staff through the first six months of hire

  • Provide training for a range of case management services, including all databases, social casework, support of clients, and community referral.

  • Design and conduct trainings and orientations that support funders' policies and Samaritas standards of care

  • Provide training for supportive casework services to refugee adults and children

  • Prepare new staff for participating in audits/monitoring visits on assigned caseload

  • Prepare staff to have the skills to ensure accurate, timely completion of all reports and assignments

  • Serve as DMS liaison for assigned programs

  • Serve as LIRS IRIS, Apricot and extended Reach databases specialist for assigned programs


Job Qualifications

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelor degree in human services field required with two years' experience providing direct services to refugees, preferred

    Experience

  • Prior experience with creating and delivering trainings, or adult education, preferred

    Additional Work Requirements

  • Required to participate in a system of 24 - 48 hour availability to staff, clients, cosponsoring groups, as required for supervisory back-up coverage

  • Required to maintain a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours as needed

  • Unrestricted, valid driver license with good driving record. Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served, proof of current automobile insurance
