An innovative software development firm, focused on healthcare solutions, seeks a skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. This role presents a distinct opportunity for individuals who excel in a startup culture and value collaborative work environments.

Reporting to the CEO, the Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the company while supporting the group in achieving rapid and profitable growth. With sound financial planning, modeling, and management, the Sr. Accounting Manager increases the company’s ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision-making in support of strategic objectives.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Accounting Manager:

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscalfunction and performance.

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into the appropriate accounting software or ledger.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Provide timely and accurate financial insights, analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to support the CEO for Board of Directors update.

  • Manage all business financial and cash forecasting, to ensure that the CEO and the Board of Directors are fully informed about the profitability and cash fundingrequirements resulting from the company’s business operations and future effect of the current strategy.

  • Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow, on a regular basis.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and management, to provide financial information and support.

  • Implement and maintain financial reporting for all parts of the business to ensure that key personnel are appropriately informed about cash forecasts, profitability and the financial effect of all business activity.

  • Ensure compliance with all local direct and indirect taxes, including supporting legal and business development teams in optimizing the tax effects of commercial contracts.

  • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at yearend.

Requirements of the Sr. Accounting Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization

  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results

  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision, multitask, and be flexible.
