Red River Account Executive III in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

This is a senior-level field sales position that will require more of a customer-facing sales role looking for someone who has a proven track record of exceeding sales goals. Looking for someone to have the ability to act as a team lead and coordinate strategic activities across their customer base. Looking for someone with at least 10 years of IT selling acumen. You will be required to work in a collaborative manner with your customer base and generate annual sales against your plan.

Primary Position Tasks:

  • Commissioned Salesperson responsible for Annual Margin Quota

  • Seeking someone from either the OEM or VAR community

  • Manages a dedicated sales territory comprised of medium to large enterprise accounts list.

  • Great insight into industry trends for cloud computing, consumptive models and creative financing options

  • Demonstrates a consultative sales approach by possessing a detailed understanding of the federal marketplace along with the business acumen to solve customer problems

  • Actively engaged in pipeline development, opportunity management/forecasting and demand generation

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • 10 years of IT sales experience

  • Strong experience selling to Civilian and Fed Agencies (ideally the FBI and DOJ)

  • Knowledge of CISCO, Cloud Computing, OEM's, VAR.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Mid-level certifications in OEM training programs

  • College or associate degree are preferred

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to put together compressive account plans and strategy

  • Demonstrate the ability to sell professional and managed services

  • Ability to cultivate C-level relationships and understand underlying business drivers

  • Ability to capture large multi-year IT annuity contracts

  • Detailed understanding of all Federal Contracting and acquisition vehicles

  • Familiar with existing industry CRM applications

  • Understanding of federal budgets cycles and buying patterns

  • Ability to navigate within public sources to identity government solicitations and opportunities (Exhibit 300)

  • Familiar with OEM business processes negotiating discount structures

  • Ability to demonstrate strong presentation skills and lead customer facing meetings

  • The ability to work effectively with or without dedicated management/mentor supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with vendors and customers in a professional and timely manner

  • Sufficient phone skills as defined by, active listening skills, using the open-ended question technique, courteous and conscientious mannerisms and technically literate language so as to support successful cold and warm calls

  • Sufficient writing skills, demonstrated by the correct use of grammar, professional communication style and technically literate language so as to support successful e-mail introductions to customers, vendors and OEM counterparts

  • Demonstrated success in multi tasked, high volume sales role as defined by accuracy, response rate and understanding of customer requirements

Essential Elements:

  • This position is a (remote) office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.

  • This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.

Special Requirements:

  • This job will require the candidate to work remotely for the most part. Up to 100% customer field activities are possible.

  • Location: DC area/Chantilly, VA/MD
