Key Responsibilities:

  • Technician co-ops will collaborate with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements, conduct mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshoot, and calibrate devices in the test facility or lab, as well as operate data acquisition and facility control systems during validation testing.

  • Maintain a high degree of interaction with test engineering and operations groups requiring effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Perform sensor wiring, terminations, egress, signal conditioning and data acquisition system operation and troubleshooting to gain valuable knowledge and experience while meeting program and customer objectives and requirements.

  • Leverage knowledge of varying sensor types including but are not limited to, strain gages, accelerometers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, proximity and blade positioning optical measurement equipment in order to meet test objectives by collecting quality precise data.

  • Maintain a minimum work schedule of 20 hours per week

    Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Enrolled in an Associate in Science degree program in Electrical Power Technology or Engineering Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship or US Person status.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed a minimum of 30 credit hours towards an Associate in Science degree program in Electrical Power Technology or Engineering Technology, or a related field

  • Successful candidates will have a balance of mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Strong background in MS Office applications and computer operation

  • Experience in other signal acquisition or processing software

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
